Ogun State is a State in the South-Western Nigeria, which was created from the former Western States. Ogun State borders Lagos State to the South, Oyo State and Osun State to the North, and Ondo State, and the Republic of Benin to the West. The State capital is Abeokuta, which is also the most populous city in Nigeria. Other important cities in the State include Ijebu ode (the former royal capital of the Ijebu Kingdom) and Sagamu, Nigeria’s leading kola nut grower. Government expenditure for 2021 was N261 billion. Ogun State has opportunities in timber, maize, cassava, manufacturing, housing, cocoa, poultry, fishing, rice, and cement.
