Oyo State is a State in the South-West geo-political zone of Nigeria. It is an island State, and its capital is Ibadan, the third most populous city in the country, and formerly the second most populous city in Africa. Oyo State is bordered to the North by Kwara State, to the East by Osun State, and to the South-West by Ogun State and the Republic of Benin. Government expenditure in 2021 was N196 billion. Oyo State is the fifth most populous State in Nigeria. Oyo State has opportunities in Tourism and production in gold, rice, oil palm, cassava, millet, fishing, hydro, cashew-nut, and feed mill.
